    FAQ Answers

How many Master Points will I get and how/when are they issued ?

The number of Master Points issued for the British events, and any events run within the UK, is variable, depending on the number of competitors, but they always go to the top 1/3 of the field, so if you fall into that category, you will be winning points!

The BGB and EBU National events are now all Green Pointed as well! Click here to find out how all the calculations are done.

For events actually run by ECatsBridge, we ourselves send the Master Point slips to the clubs for onward distribution so once the notice has gone on the site to say that the event is finalised - it will normally say when they are being posted as well - you can just go along to your next club night and collect them. This will change of course once we get direct registration with the EBU but I will put information up about that when we know exactly how it will be done - the ECatsBridge system is all ready to have your EBU numbers entered as part of the results, so it shouldn't be too difficult to implement!

Note that the EBU schools events, and some EBU student events do not attract master points, and those that do have different regulations. The World Charity event held in January does not have master point awards, though of course the clubs can award their own local points as normal.

If we are scoring the event on behalf of another organisation, then we send them all the information they need in order to be able to send out the points and results sheets themselves.

Remember that the World Wide Contest also receives World Year Points!
